Protesters on Thursday stormed the Eritrean embassy in London in support of dissident soldiers who reportedly sieged Eritrea's information ministry in Asmara on Monday.
The soldiers forced Asmelash Abreha, the director of Eritrean state television, to call for the release of political prisoners on air. State media stopped its broadcast following the announcement, but was back within hours, reportedly with no mention of the ordeal. Analysts and journalists say Monday's events fell short of a full-fledged coup d'état.
